New Grading System:
A key change in the 2024 grading system made **Mathematics and one language** compulsory for mean grade calculation, departing from the previous five mandatory subjects. Performance in the top five additional subjects boosted students’ overall scores, offering a fairer reflection of their academic strengths.
The KCSE mean grade is now computed by summing points from the best seven subjects and dividing by seven. Adjustments are made to balance performance disparities between different years, ensuring fairness across exams.
This year’s results not only highlight academic brilliance but also underscore the importance of integrity in education. Stay tuned for more inspiring stories of students who defied odds to shine.
