In a strong commitment to maintaining the integrity of this year’s national examinations, Cabinet Secretary for Education Julius Ogamba reassured the public that comprehensive measures are in place to prevent irregularities. Speaking at a tree-planting event at Siala Technical and Vocational Training Center in Rongo, Ogamba underscored the Ministry’s dedication to a credible examination process.

He issued a stern warning to anyone attempting to engage in cheating within the education sector, stating that severe consequences, including expulsion, will be enforced. “This year, we have integrated advanced security technologies into the examination process. Anyone caught in malpractice will face the law, including penalties that bar them from the education sector,” he asserted.

Ogamba also called for support from all education stakeholders, highlighting the importance of collective efforts in achieving a trustworthy examination system. He expressed disappointment over criticisms from individuals who should be collaborating to enhance the system instead.
Looking ahead, the Cabinet Secretary shared plans for a smooth transition into grade nine learning activities next year, including initiatives like classroom construction to ensure no disruptions occur. He urged all citizens to positively contribute to the education sector for the benefit of learners.
