MoE Opens Applications For UK PhD And Masters Scholarships . The State Department for Higher Education and Research has opened applications for the prestigious Commonwealth Scholarship Commission (CSC) for Kenyan citizens, aimed at those pursuing Master’s and PhD studies in the UK for 2025.

This year, 10 full scholarships for PhD programs and 19 for Master’s programs are available at approved UK universities hosting CSC recipients.

The online application period runs from September 10 to October 15, 2024, covering a range of eligible fields including Food Security and Nutrition, Manufacturing, Health Care, Housing, Digital and Creative Economy, and Transforming MSMEs.

To qualify, applicants must prove Kenyan citizenship, hold a degree (with a Master’s for PhD candidates) from a recognized institution, submit two referee statements, and present a research proposal with the potential to impact Kenya’s development. A well-defined study plan and availability to start in September 2025 are also required.

Additionally, printed copies of completed applications must be submitted to the Ministry of Education by 5:00 PM in October 2024.
