These funds go to students, universities, and TVET institutions, helping bridge the financial gap for those seeking higher education and vocational training.

Experts highlight that HELB loans offer more favorable terms than private loans. They are designed to be flexible and inclusive, especially benefiting students from low-income households with special incentives that make education more accessible and affordable.
How Does HELB Disburse Loans?
The process of receiving a HELB loan involves several key stages. After submitting an application, the first stage is “Registered,” indicating the receipt of documents. Next is the “Verified” stage, where the documents are reviewed, and the loan amount is approved. Following this, the “Allocation” stage confirms that the funds are ready, and the final stage is “Disbursed,” where the funds are transferred to the recipient’s account.
Before the final “disbursement in progress” stage, students receive a batch number. HELB uses a batch system to efficiently track disbursements for tuition and living expenses, ensuring students know when their payments are processed.
For 2024, several batch numbers have already been processed, allowing students to continue their studies smoothly. The following batch numbers have been paid so far:
