 Introduction to Senior Teacher II (T-Scale 7)

Senior Teacher II (T-Scale 7) is a promotional grade within TSC, marking entry into the administrative cadre. The appointment process is competitive and depends on the availability of advertised vacancies.

 Key Requirements for Appointment

To qualify for the position of Senior Teacher II, candidates must:

– Have served as a Primary Teacher I (T-Scale 6) for at least three years.

– Receive a satisfactory rating in the performance appraisal field process.

– Successfully complete relevant Teacher Professional Development (TPD) modules.

– Demonstrate supervisory, mentoring, and professional support skills for fellow teachers.

– Possess a valid TSC number (Teaching Certificate).

– Meet the requirements of Chapter Six of the Constitution of Kenya.
