 House Allowance
The house allowance is divided into different clusters based on geographical locations:
1. Cluster 1: Nairobi City
Teachers in Nairobi City receive a house allowance of Ksh. 28,000 monthly, reflecting the high cost of living in the metropolitan area.
2. Cluster 2: Urban Areas
In cities like Mombasa, Kisumu, Nakuru, Nyeri, Eldoret, Thika, Kisii, and Malindi, teachers receive Ksh. 22,000 monthly due to the unique conditions and costs associated with these urban areas.
3. Cluster 3: Former Municipalities
Teachers in other former municipalities not covered in Cluster 2 receive Ksh. 16,500 monthly, adjusted based on the economic situation in those areas.
4. Cluster 4: Other Areas
Teachers in locations not specified in the previous clusters receive Ksh. 24,055 monthly, considering the socio-economic conditions of those areas.
Hardship Allowance
Teachers working in areas with harsh conditions receive a hardship allowance of Ksh. 12,300 monthly, recognizing the challenges they face and the dedication they show in their roles.
Commuter Allowance
For teachers commuting from outside the school, a commuter allowance of Ksh. 6,000 is provided to cover their travel expenses, acknowledging the additional costs they incur.
Disability Guide Allowance
Teachers with disabilities under job group C3 receive a guide allowance of Ksh. 20,000 monthly, supporting them in assisting learners despite their disabilities.
