According to the Teachers Service Commission (TSC), the importance of Head Teachers in SNE schools is reflected in the designated pay scale, known as T-Scale 12.

– Salary Point 2: 95,101 KES

– Salary Point 3: 97,552 KES

– Salary Point 4: 100,661 KES

– Salary Point 5: 103,861 KES

– Salary Point 6: 107,157 KES

– Salary Point 7: 110,551 KES

 

Allowances for Head Teachers:

In addition to basic salary, Head Teachers under T-Scale 12 are entitled to various allowances, including the D2 allowance grade, designed to supplement their income due to their specialized roles.

 

House Allowance:

House allowance is determined by grade and school location. According to TSC, monthly house allowance for Head Teachers in SNE schools under Grade D2 varies based on different clusters.

 

– Cluster 1 (Nairobi City): 45,000 KES

– Cluster 2 (Mombasa, Kisumu, Nakuru, etc.): 28,000 KES

– Cluster 3 (Nyeri, Eldoret, Thika, etc.): 21,000 KES

– Cluster 4 (Other areas): 18,066 KES
