Active primary school teachers with a secondary option degree must submit online applications by March 18, 2024.
Deployment Begins May 2024
Certified PTE teachers will be assigned to join junior secondary schools starting in May 2024.

After Sub-County Directors verify their documentation, teachers will be promptly assigned to classrooms in JSS.

Successful teachers’ documents will be thoroughly checked by the Commission headquarters to ensure legitimacy.
Addressing Teacher Shortages
TSC recognizes the severe shortage of teachers in junior secondary schools, prompting urgent deployment.
Eligibility Criteria
To qualify for deployment, primary school teachers must meet specific requirements:
– Active registration with the TSC.
– Employment as a primary school teacher with the TSC.
– Absence of interdiction or ongoing disciplinary processes.
– Minimum of a Diploma in Education with relevant subject qualifications.
– Degree certificate must be Bachelor of Education; Bachelor of Education (Primary Option) holders are not eligible.
Required Documentation
During the verification exercise, candidates must present:
– Original and copy of degree/diploma certificate.
– Original and copies of academic transcripts.
– Original and copy of SNE qualification (where applicable).
– Original and copy of KCSE certificate (or its equivalent).
– Copy of the current payslip.
– Declaration by the Head of Institution confirming current employment status.
 Streamlined Online Process
All processes, including Posting, Entry/Exit Reports Module, must be conducted online.
