1. Registration with the commission

2.  Attainment of a minimum mean grade of C+ (Plus) at KCSE Level with at least C+ in two teaching subjects

3. Possession of a Bachelor’s Degree in Education (Secondary Option) with two teaching subjects, each with a minimum of 8 units

4. Alternatively, candidates with Bachelor of Science or Arts degrees, coupled with a Postgraduate Diploma in Education (PGDE) in the two teaching subjects, will also be considered.

TSC to Prioritize Promotions For Teachers Aged 45 And Above

In late 2023, the commission advertised promotion vacancies for teachers, aiming to elevate 36,000 educators who have remained in the same job group for an extended period. This initiative encompasses both regular and special needs education schools.
