Introduction:
The Principal Secretary for Basic Education, Dr. Belio Kipsang, announced the government’s plan to construct 16,000 classrooms. This nationwide program is in preparation for the transition of learners to grade nine next year. Dr. Kipsang made this announcement at Olympics Primary School in Kibra Subcounty, Nairobi. During a visit by Mamta Murthi, the Vice President for Human Development at the World Bank.
Government’s Commitment to Education Infrastructure
Dr. Kipsang outlined the government’s intention to build 10 additional classrooms to accommodate the learners transitioning to grade nine. He actively sought support and partnership with the World Bank to enhance infrastructure at the school. This proactive approach demonstrates the government’s dedication to improving education infrastructure across the nation.
