Kenyan National schools are set to adopt e-Citizen for fee payments. This is per the  announcement made  by Education Principal Secretary Richard Belio Kipsang. The move that was outlined in a circular   dated January 31. This aims to ensure enhanced accountability of funds within all government learning institutions.

Under this new directive, the Directorate of e-Citizen, in collaboration with the Information Communication Technology Authority (IOTA), Ministry of ICT, and the National Treasury, is overseeing the onboarding of all government services . And this services should be through the e-Citizen platform. This strategic partnership seeks to elevate overall service delivery to the public especially in the education sector.

Parents and guardians are now mandated to utilize the e-Citizen platform for fee payments. And the fee payment must align with the government’s compliance requirements. This directive signifies a pivotal step towards modernizing payment systems in the education sector.

In response to this development, school principals are tasked with furnishing the school’s bank account details by February 6. The details must be comprehensive, encompassing the account name, bank name, account number, bank code, and branch code.
