KU’s Agricultural School To Fight Famine.Title: Tackling Food Insecurity: Kenyatta University School of Agriculture Takes Center Stage.
  Introduction:
In January 2024, Bayer’s East Africa local Youth Summit will assemble 100 participants from Kenyatta University School of Agriculture and Environmental Studies. Kenya National Farmers Federation (KENAFF – Youth Wing) JKUAT also will be attending. This event provides a platform for young agricultural leaders to collaborate on sustainable solutions for global agriculture challenges.
Global Challenge and Innovation:
Facing the impending challenge of feeding a population expected to reach nearly 10 billion by 2050. The summit will emphasize on the need for innovative approaches in farming and agricultural production. The Bayer Youth Summit positions young people as key players in addressing these challenges.
Empowering Youth in Agriculture:
Bayer East Africa, in collaboration with Kenya Water for Health Organization (KWAHO), organizes the Bayer East Africa local Youth Summit 2024 (BYS 2024) . The started on January 25th to 28th, 2024. The summit focuses on Youth Involvement in Agriculture, aligning with Bayer’s brand mission of “Health for All and Hunger for None.”
 Theme and Objectives:
Themed “Empowering the Youth: Agricultural Transformation through Agribusiness and Innovations,” the summit aims to highlight youth as strategic partners in the fight against food insecurity. The goal is to showcase the innovativeness, transformational, and empathetic ways in which youth can lead change in addressing food insecurity.

Mr. Joern Kraegeloh, Bayer East Africa Managing Director, expresses Bayer’s commitment to empowering youth as the next generation of agricultural change-makers.
