If you are a TSC-employed teacher, fulfilling the TPAD 2 appraisal form online is a mandatory step. This process occurs on the new TPAD 2 portal, offering an array of functionalities to streamline the appraisal experience.

 

Creating Your TPAD Account:

To commence, log in to your TPAD 2 account through the designated portal: [http://tpad2.tsc.go.ke/auth/login](http://tpad2.tsc.go.ke/auth/login). Enter your TSC Number, ID Number, and Password. Choose your role, whether Teacher/Deputy, Head of Institution, Curriculum Support Officer, Sub-County Director, County Director/County ICT, or Regional Director.

Upon logging in, you’ll arrive at the Home Page, providing an overview of key activities and features, including My Dashboard, Self Appraisal, TPD, and Appraisal Reports.

   Initiating Self Appraisal:

Under Self Appraisal, follow these steps:

1. Click on the ‘Self Appraisals’ menu to reveal sub-menus for Self Assessment and Lesson Observation.

2. Navigate to ‘Self Assessment’ and select ‘Create New Appraisal.’

3. Fill in appraisal details such as Appraisal Year, Appraisal Term, and Eligibility (on duty or not on duty).

   Proceeding with Appraisal:

After saving your appraisal, click ‘Proceed to Appraisal.’ This action initiates the appraisal process, allowing you to update assessment areas like appraisal ratings, learners’ progress reports, and lesson attendance summaries.

 

     Updating Teaching Standards:

1. After creating an appraisal instance, rate yourself based on achievement for each target per standard.

2. Select the type of standards based on institution type: Primary/Secondary Institution, SNE – Primary/Secondary, or TTC Institutions.

3. Click ‘Update Standard’ for Teaching Standards, choose the applicable institution type, and proceed to standards.

4. The interface provides the option of offline or online appraisal. Click ‘New Rating’ for online appraisal.

5. Update ratings for each target, including actual weight attained, gap category, sub-category, comments, and evidence upload.

6. Click ‘Submit Rating’ to confirm, and repeat the process for all targets.

7. Progress through the standards using ‘Next Standard,’ saving progress as needed.
