KMTC 2024/2025 courses and requirements.
The Kenya Medical Training College (KMTC) offers a diverse array of medical and health training programs catering to both recent KCSE graduates and practitioners. Each program comes with specific entry requirements and durations, as delineated below.
With 68 campuses spread across the nation, KMTC conducts intakes biannually, in March and September.
Guidelines for Applying to KMTC 2024/2025 Courses Online:
Submit all applications online, accompanied by a Ksh2022 fee payable through MPESA pay bill No. 964150. Follow the outlined procedure on the KMTC website (www.kmtc.ac.ke).
Key Points to Note:
For Kenyan and non-Kenyan individuals who completed foreign exams locally, present your certificates to the Kenya National Qualification Authority (KNQA) located in Uchumi House, Nairobi, for evaluation and recognition.
Duration of KMTC Courses:
Typically, courses at KMTC span either two or three years:
Certificate Courses: 2 years, except for Community Health Nursing (2 1/2 years)
Diploma Courses: 3 years

Entry Requirements: Mean Grade C, C in English/Kiswahili, C- in Biology, C- in Chemistry, C- in Math/Physics

2. Diploma in Community Oral Health:
Entry Requirements: Mean Grade C, C in English/Kiswahili, C in Biology, C- in Physics/Chemistry.
3. Diploma in Nutrition & Dietetics:
Entry Requirements: Mean Grade C-, C- in English/Kiswahili, C- in Biology, D+ in Chemistry, D in Home Science/Agriculture/Math/Physics
Intake: September
4. Diploma in Health Records and Information Technology
Minimum Requirements:
Mean Grade C
C in English or Kiswahili
C- in Mathematics (September )
D+ in Biology/Biological Sciences
C- in any one of the following: Physics/Physical Science, Chemistry, Computer Studies, Agriculture, Home Science, Economics, Geography, Commerce, Business Studies
5. Diploma in Community Health Nursing
Minimum Requirements:

C in English or Kiswahili and Biology/Biological Sciences
C- in any one of the following: Chemistry, Physics/Physical Science (March 2020), Mathematics
Intake: March and September
6. Diploma in Registered Nursing, Mental Health & Psychiatry
Minimum Requirements:

C in English or Kiswahili and Biology/Biological Sciences
C- in any one of the following: Chemistry, Physics/Physical Science (March) Mathematics
Intake: March and September
7. Diploma in Kenya Registered Nursing & Midwifery
Minimum Requirements:
Mean Grade C
C in English or Kiswahili and Biology/Biological Sciences
C- in any one of the following: Chemistry, Physics/Physical Science, Mathematics
Intake: March and September
Diploma in Registered Nursing (KRN)
Minimum Requirements:
Mean Grade C
